Purpose:
|
To generate new clients; to manage and grow existing revenue through the use of
specialised knowledge of mobile messaging systems and to expand SMSPortal’s client
base in mobile messaging solutions. The vast majority of sales are generated via
telephone and email.
|
Key Responsibility Areas:
1. Revenue Growth
- Respond to potential client requests or queries logged on the website which are
generated through marketing efforts;
- Proactively identify new clients that could benefit from company products or services
through Internet searches;
- Manage and interpret client requirements;
- Calculate client quotations;
- Educate current and potential clients about any new services or products on offer;
- Promote the benefits of SMS technology to current and potential clients;
- Keep abreast of the latest development in the mobile messaging environment.
2. Client Support
- Provide clients with customer service;
- Redirect clients to the appropriate technical team if unable to assist;
3. Administration
- Generate ad hoc reporting for the sales manager's reports.

Experience and Education
Matric (Grade 12), Minimum of 2 years sales experience preferably gained in an IT,
telecommunications or related field.
